Guidelines for e-Raksha Website

Artcade:

1. You are required to first register online and follow the submission instructions provided for the competition. User ID which will be generated during the registration should be stored carefully for further use.
2. Working technique: must be original and created by hand.
3. Materials used: open to any colouring or sketching material – free (pencil/ charcoal/ watercolours / sketch pens/ crayons/ pastel/ oil paint, etc.)
4. Paper to be used: Ordinary heavy Paper – 80 gsm up to 170 gsm, chart paper, canvas sheet, photo satin paper, etc.
5. Size: A4 or A3 or A2
6. Caption: Make sure that the only text your poster has, is a caption/ message which is no more than 5 words.
7. The drawing / sketch etc. should be either scanned or photographed, and digital copy to be uploaded on the web portal in any of the following formats.
8. Formats accepted for online submission of entries: JPEG, JPG, IMG, PNG, GIF or PDF.
9. Participants who wish to enter the competition may submit only one (1) artwork.
10. Only individual entries are permitted – no group entries will be considered.
11. Your work should be original. Please refrain from copying ideas or graphics. We want to see your original and authentic work.
12. You will need to certify that this is your original creation.
13. You must carefully and safely keep the original of the entry submitted as you may need it later.
14. The submitted work must not be used for any other purpose/competition and will become the co-owned property of eRaksha, CPF and NCERT, besides the author.

Word Hack:

1. You are required to first register online and follow the submission instructions provided for the competition. User ID which will be generated during the registration should be stored carefully as it will be needed later.
2. Word Limit should be followed strictly as below:
i. Essays: 250 – 300 words
ii. Blogs: 150 – 200 words
iii. Articles: 250 – 300 words
iv. Research Papers: 800 – 1000 words
3. Any references made within the work to other studies or publications must be credited and noted.
4. All entries will be subject to plagiarism checks.
5. Only one entry per person will be eligible to be promoted to the final round; selected at the sole discretion of the review panel.
6. Submissions will be judged upon their clarity, accuracy, the overall readability of the blog, writing skill of the author and relevance to the theme.
7. You can write in either Hindi or English. Written submission in any other language is not eligible for this competition.
8. Your work should be original. Please refrain from copying ideas or graphics. We want to see your original and authentic work.
9. You will need to certify that this is your original creation.
10. Accepted format for submission: DOC, DOCX, .odt, .ODF, PDF, TXT only.
11. If you do not have computer, you can handwrite in clear Blue or Black pen (with no overwriting and spaced well, and click a photo on your phone and save as jpg, jpeg, img, png format file and then this can be submitted on the competition site as your entry.
12. The submitted work must not be used for any other purpose/competition and will become the co-owned property of eRaksha, CPF and NCERT, besides the author.

Tech Avishkar:

1. You are required to first register online and follow the submission instructions provided for the competition. User ID which will be generated during the registration should be stored carefully as it will be needed later.
2. You can compete as an individual or in teams of up to maximum three student members, only in this category.
3. Each participant/team can submit only one entry.
4. One student can be part of only one team.
5. Participants must not accept or use any help from anyone other than their team members.
6. Usage of free and/or open-source Internet resources is allowed, but plagiarism and cheating are not. Your work should be original and totally your creation.
7. The submitted work must not be used for any other purpose/competition and will become the co-owned property of eRaksha, CPF and NCERT, besides the author.

Screen Masters:

1. You are required to first register online and follow the submission instructions provided for the competition. User ID which will be generated during the registration should be stored carefully as it will be needed later.
2. The contest is open for submission either as a group work, which is encouraged or as an individual’s entry. Contestants may, therefore, work together in groups or submit entries as individuals in this category only.
3. However, a student applying as a group member may not make another entry as an individual for the video category competition, as collaborative efforts have more points in the jury process.
4. Video entries must be focused on the themes of the competition.
5. Hindi and English language videos only are eligible. (Audio and text must be in English or Hindi, as the jury will be separate for the competition)
6. Submissions can be first story boarded and scripted, music created, acted, edited and finalized. Original animated entries will also be entertained as a format
7. Video in any of the following formats will be accepted: .flv, .mov, .mp4, .wmv.
8. The length of the video should not exceed 600 seconds (ten minutes).
9. All entries should begin with a 3 seconds “title screen” that includes the following information:
● Title of video
● Contestant(s)’Name(s)
● School, City, PIN code and State
● The logo of Cyber Peace Foundation. (It will be made available on the registration portal)
10. All entries must have an ending credits (3-8seconds) as End Credit screen that include the following (School logo, full name, any other inspiration, reference, sound credits, use of copyrighted material, video or audio editing software used, etc.)
11. All information presented in the video must be cited, giving credit to the original source, without violating any copyright of others.
12. Plagiarism of any kind will result in disqualification.
13. Your work should be original. Please refrain from copying ideas or graphics. We want to see your original and authentic work.
14. You will need to certify that this is your original creation.
15. Each contestant can send one video. You have to upload your video to any platform convenient to you, such as social media websites or video sharing platforms (E.g. Facebook, YouTube, etc.). Please make sure you share the link to your video with us.
16. No copyrighted materials (music, images, company logos, etc.) may be used in the video unless you own the copyright or have a license to use the material for this contest. Written permission must be obtained from the source and provided upon request for use of all copyrighted materials.
17. No professional assistance should be sought. Adults may assist with production but are limited to verbal guidance only. Adults are allowed to be actors or cameraperson(s) but not content contributors.
18. The submitted work must not be used for any other purpose/competition and will become the co-owned property of eRaksha, CPF and NCERT, besides the author.
